Koto Katana in Gunto Koshirae

An o-suriage Katana from the Muromachi period, perhaps 1500 - 1550.    Shinogizukure, iroi mune, chu kissaki.  Hawatare: 2 shaku 7 sun 1 bu ( 51.82 cm / 20.4").  Motohaba:  3. 19 cm.  Sakihaba:  2.29 cm.   Kasane:  5.2 mm.  Gunome midare in chu suguba.   Itame hada.  The quality of the WWII polish precludes noting details.  There is a hakubori in the kissaki, but there is more than enough hamon to allow a clean removal. 

The koshirae is as close to mint as I can recall seeing.                                                                      $2,000
